One Source Talent, a national casting agency, has selected MegaPath, a provider of managed IP data, voice, and security services, to support voice and data communications and transmit video files between its seven offices and national data center.
One Source Talent is using MegaPath’s T1 access and SSL VPN with MPLS and Managed Security Services.
MegaPath’s MPLS network is claimed to ensure quality of service for all of One Source Talent’s sites, increasing speed and reliability of communications while reducing latency.
This provides the performance One Source Talent requires to support its voice, video and web-based applications. MegaPath’s Managed Security Services that includes anti-virus, firewall and intrusion prevention protects all locations without requiring onsite resources to manage each of these applications, according to MegaPath.
One Source Talent is leveraging MegaPath to support its video applications, enabling its personnel to share talent footage and increasing security. Using MegaPath, the One Source Talent IT department can view surveillance footage at each office remotely to ensure the physical security of all locations. The company also leverages the network to support video streaming and transfers between offices, allowing its clients and staff to share casting videos.
MegaPath’s completely integrated wide area network services allow One Source Talent’s IT department to access all locations and terminals nationwide from its data center, simplifying desktop support and troubleshooting. This centralized access combined with MegaPath’s fully-managed services is expected to remove much of the management burden from the IT department and reduces onsite resource requirements.
