OMNITECH PTY WORKS ON CHINESE SMART CARD PROJECT

Australian smart-card developer Omnitech Pty has announced it is working with a Chinese partner on a $20m program to provide the world’s first contactless smart card carpark-meter system for Beijing. This is its second major project in China, following a $20m project to install 200,000 smart cards and 700 reader machines at 20 Shanghai railway stations.
