Olivetti UK Ltd has launched its hybrid Colour 8000 copier printer scanner, that links to both MS-DOS personal computers and Apple Computer Inc Macs and that it is to bundle with its own M Series computers: the UKP3,800 machine is the ideal complement to desktop publishing and other presentation software, Olivetti says; hopes are high that it will capture a healthy market share, especially given what Olivetti sees as the lack of players selling integrated printing peripherals; it expects that 70% to 80% of units sold will be personal computer linked; distribution will be by traditional Olivetti copier and personal computer dealers.
