Ing C Olivetti & Co SpA has reportedly been telling people it will retain a 10% stake in its personal computer division after it is sold, most likely to Centenary Ltd, a vehicle based in London but headed by US lawyer and financier Edward Gottesman. Merchant banks Arca Merchant and the Sofipa unit of Mediocredito Centrale, are in talks to buy a 10% stake each. While Centenary would hold the majority, a minority would go to Italian businessman Gian Mario Rossignolo, who heads Electrolux Zanussi SpA and Seleco-Italtel SpA, according to the Wall Street Journal Europe.
