Ing C Olivetti & Co SpA is to hold 30% of Tenpo Ltda, formed to assemble microcomputers in Brazil for the local market: another 30% of the shares is held by the Swiss investment group Fides, which has associations with Carlo de Benedetti, and the decision by the authorities to treat the foreign-controlled Tenpo as a national company has outraged Brazilian protectionists according to the Financial Times.
