OLIVETTI FORMS LEXIKON SpA FOR DISK DRIVE MANUFACTURE

Ing C Olivetti SpA has put its disk drive manufacturing interests into a new subsidiary, Lexikon SpA. It will be structured around the Italian company’s Olivetti Peripheral Equipment unit, and will start life with 500 employees. Its primary concentration will be on Winchester drives, which it currently manufactures in 10Mb to 80Mb capacities.
