Olivetti has found itself a new system partner in the shape of Coventry-based AutoCIM Plc: the company claims to have 12% of the UK market for personal computer-based AutoCAD systems, and it is aiming for 30% by the end of next year; it reported a turnover of UKP6.25m last year and was subsequently acquired by VRG Groep BV; the company supplies computer aided design systems to the motor industry, architects, engineers, and construction industry; Olivetti says that AutoCIM expects to sell up UKP1m of CP486 machines in 1991.
