OLIVETTI EYES RETURN TO IBM MAINFRAME MARKET

Olivetti, which launched into the IBM-compatible mainframe market across Europe in 1980, with the machines built by Hitachi, retreated to its home base of Italy in 1984, but is now considering a return to the market in the rest of Europe, again with the processors from Hitachi.
