Olivetti has added a compact M290 workstation based on a 12MHz 80286 to its second generation personal computer line, and has enhanced the 80386-based M380. The new M290 includes the company’s new VGA-compatible graphics board and comes with 2Mb standard, as well as taking up to 100Mb disk. Pitched at the market currently served by the 8086-based M24, the machine has five 16-bit and three eight-bit slots. Two further models have also been added to the M380 line, taking maximum disk store to 600Mb. No prices or delivery were given.
