After only four months at the helm of Olivetti Personal Computers SpA, Alessandro Barberis has jumped ship. The news comes a few months after the company was brought back from the brink when it was purchased by Piedmont International Ltd (CI No 3,112), and just a week after the new parent company announced it had secured $65m in cash from majority shareholder Centenary Corp. Barberis is said to have been instrumental in securing the first stages of the company’s capitalization, reports the Wall Street Journal.
