OLIVETTI AND Y-E DATA TO CO-DEVELOP ADVANCED LAP-TOP

Olivetti SpA is teaming up with the Y-E Data Inc subsidiary of Yaskawa Electric Manufacturing Co to develop, manufacture and market advanced lap-top computers for the Japanese market: the new firm will be capitalised at around $2.5m, and Olivetti will have a noninal controlling interest of 50% plus one share.
