Oki Networks, a subsidiary of Oki Electric Industry, has launched a new product for micro and small enterprises IPstage 1000. It is an all-in-one smart telephony box that is equipped with a telephone system and a broadband router.
Initially, the company plans to focus on Japan, Spain and Italy, countries where it already sells telephone systems.
IPstage 1000 enables typical business networks, incorporating telephone systems, the internet and printers, to be set up with ease, allowing organisations to get up and running immediately when new offices are opened, or new units or teams are rolled out, the company claims.
The company said that the new IPstage1000 comes with an auto provisioning function that allows the product to be used through a LAN cable connection between the IP phone and the main device. Calls can be forwarded by individual users by utilising a web browser on the user portal.
According to Oki Networks, the IPstage 1000 incorporates router know-how, which enables users to set up and operate telephone systems and routers without technical knowledge. The main device comes in A4 size, and is compliant with various IP phone services. It can incorporate up to 30 IP extension telephones, such as software phones and newly released IP multi keytelephone designed for IPstage 1000.
Masasuke Kishi, president of Oki Networks, said: The IPstage 1000 enables network environments to be configured easily without special technical expertise and in turn, saves time. We believe it will help businesses improve management productivity and increase their competitive edge.
“As a leader in the field of IP phones, Oki will continue to leverage its comprehensive expertise together with technical knowledge it has garnered over the years, with a focus on offering added-value communication style.
