OKI BRINGS 64Ms FORWARD

For the first time, demand is so insatiable that development costs on the current generation of memory chips have been amortised early and the new generation is is being brought forward rather than held back: Oki Electric Industry Co Ltd says it will start making 64M-bit parts in April 1997, not April 1998.
