Dell has unveiled the latest version of Unified Communications Command Suite (UCCS), which the company claims is the only solution to provide analytics and diagnostics across both Microsoft Exchange and Lync.

UCCS restructures the complexity of managing multiple communication platforms and provides a flexible cross-platform solution.

The latest version, Suite 8.1, is capable of adding analytics reporting for Office 365 for Exchange Online and Cisco Unified Communications Manager to Dell’s cross-platform analytics and diagnostics solution.

Some of the new features of UCCS includes support for the Cisco Unified Communications Manager that will allow organisations to keep watch on usage and trends within their Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

With the latest version of UCCS, organisations will be able to bind valuable intelligence in their unified communications systems that will help improve productivity, encourage adoption, protect sensitive information, and increase ROI.

According to Dell, organisations invest a lot in unified communications, yet due to lack of accurate insight about platform usage, the desired result is not achieved.

The insight provided by the new UCCS is expected to help organisations better prioritise, anticipate capacity planning and come up with better data loss prevention policies.

UCCS also provides insight into the already deployed various UC communication platforms help organisations find out where to increase investment and where to eliminate unused platforms.

Dell Software senior product architect Curtis Johnstone said: "Organisations are looking to Office 365 and Cisco UC, along with Microsoft Exchange and Lync/Skype for Business, to make life easier and enable better communication and collaboration among employees.

"With the addition of support for Office 365 and Cisco UC Manager, Dell’s Unified Communications Command Suite 8.1 provides that single cross-platform analytics and diagnostics solution, and continues Dell’s expansion of this unique cross-platform offering."
