Odin said it would now be able to test RFID gear for its multinational customers.

The new site licenses from the Federal Communications Commission mean Odin can test in frequencies ranging from 864MHz to 956MHz spectrum using up to 8 watts of power at its US-based laboratory.

Many of our multinational clients have engaged us for planning their global RFID strategy, said Odin chief executive Patrick Sweeney, in a statement. This FCC licensing will allow us to go to the next phase, actually testing tags, readers and systems for different countries all in our Dulles, Virginia lab.
