Woodland Hills, California-based OCP, which has forecast that revenue for the quarter to June 30 will be in the $14m to $16m range, estimates that the deal will boost revenue by 25%.
OCP said the Japanese FTTH market was the largest in the world and the number of subscribers nearly doubled from 2.9 million at the end of March 2005 to 5.4 million by March 2006. GigaComm was the market leader in Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network modules, the standard widely deployed in Japan.
