OCE VAN DER GRINTON LASER PRINTER AVAILABLE IN THE UK

By CBR Staff Writer

A laser printing engine? Not from Japan? Dutch reprographics firm Oce van der Grinton NV has announced, via its Loughton-baesd Oce UK subsidiary, that a proprietary laser printer developed at its Venlo research and development base is now available in the UK: the engine will form part of the company’s 6750 heavy duty laser package, and boasts 508 dots per inch resolution and a printing speed of 23 pages per minute; at a UK retail price of between UKP25,000 and UKP30,000, the system will be aimed firmly at the IBM mainframe and DEC VAX market, and has already provoked interest from two of the country’s leading aerospace and chemical companies.
