By CBR Staff Writer

ObjectShare Inc, once known as ParcPlace-Digitalk has introduced early release editions of its VisualWorks 3.0 implementation of the Smalltalk language for the PowerMac, AIX and Digital Alpha platforms. Support for Silicon Graphics Inc workstations will be available in the fourth quarter, the company said. Meanwhile, ObjectShare has won support for VisualWorks from three object database companies: Gemstone Systems Inc, Objectivity Inc and Versant Corp. Gemstone has pre-release versions of its GemBuilder for Smalltalk out now, while Objectivity/DB for Smalltalk and Versant will be available in the fourth quarter.
