The Object Management Group last week put out a Request for Proposals for Smalltalk Language Mapping for its Corba Interface Definition Language as well as a preliminary Request for Information for Common Facilities. The Object Group wants any Smalltalk letters of intent by May 27 and submissions by July 29. Responses to the Common Facilities Request for Information, which will be used to produce an architecture and road map to determine the order of future Requests for Proposals, are due by June 4.
