There are no set-up costs or ongoing subscriptions for the service and messages can be sent in any number and at any time. The cost depends on the number of messages being sent, up to GBP6,100 for 100,000 messages.
O2 maintains that the service is not for spam but for permission based marketing. However, O2 has yet to release details of how it will stop spammers.
