Nynex in China: Nynex Corp’s Nynex Network Systems Co is to conduct a feasibility study with China’s Ministry of Electronics Industry for interconnecting China’s various telecommunications networks: the study will also look at the technology required to deploy advanced services in some markets and formation of a joint telecommunications venture; the development looks like another chink in China’s long-standing policy of closing its potentially vast telecommunications services business to outside operators.
