Nynex Corp last Thursday urged Judge Harold Greene to deliver a speedy waiver to allow it to participate in the PTAT-1 transatlantic fibre optic cable with Cable & Wireless Plc: the petition is the next step in the legal process following objections to Nynex’s ambitions filed by AT&T, MCI and Teleport Communications earlier this month; the court has now consulted all parties needed for a decision but is not bound by any deadline.
