Lots of names bidding to offer cellular and paging services in Singapore: Singapore Technologies Ventures Pte Ltd is in partnership with BellSouth International Inc, Comfort Group Ltd and Singapore International Media Pte Ltd in a bid for the cellular licence and with Singapore Electronic & Engineering Ltd and Singapore Computer Systems Ltd, as well as BellSouth and Comfort for the paging contract; state-linked Sembawang Corp has a consortium with Vodafone Europe Holdings BV and NTUC Voice Co-operative Society Ltd, to bid for the cellular licence; and trader Intraco Pte Ltd is partnering Hutchison Telecommunications Ltd and Teledata (Singapore) to bid for both the licences.
