Silicon Graphics Inc has licensed Iris Explorer to Oxford, UK-based Numerical Algorithms Group, which will turn the stuff around for Sun Microsystems Inc, Digital Equipment Corp, Hewlett-Packard Co and IBM Corp workstation users: the Algorithms Group regards Iris Explorer as one of the three leading visualisation packages on the market, the others in the trio being Precision Visuals Inc’s PV-Wave and Advanced Visualisation Systems Inc’s AVS.
