NTT WANTS STATIC IMAGE TERMINALS AND CCSNMC DEVICES

Calling all would-be suppliers to Japan – Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp notified in the Government Gazette of November 2 that it wants static image terminals and common carrier signal network monitor control devices: on the terminals, it wants to procure 100 a year of specialised output terminals for retrieving static image data from a central database using keyboard operations or a touch panel; for the common carrier signal network, NTT is looking for a company to undertake joint development of specialised networks for monitoring and controlling the operating status of subscriber lines in Integrated Services Digital Network services; applications have to be received by January 13 1989, and these procurements are open to foreign firms.
