Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp has decided that it needs to upgrade its representative office in London to a full-blown subsidiary if it is to keep up with the rapid changes in European telecommunications: the new NTT Europe Ltd, due to come into being on April 1, will be capitalised at UKP400,000 and as well as taking over the representative functions, it will expand efforts in international procurement and technical co-operation ahead of the 1992 European Single Market.
