Privatisation has really changed Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp and where it previously confined its favours to Fujitsu Ltd, Hitachi Ltd and NEC Corp, it signed a major development agreement with Data General Corp a couple of years ago, and now it has invited IBM Japan and Nippon DEC to collaborate on a two-year programme to develop software to interface NTT applications with their major operating systems, a communications package and a workstation with communications facilities.
