Foreign telecommunications manufacturers are invited to join in the bidding to partner Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp on a two-year development effort on computer interfaces for the Japanese phone company’s Multi-vendor Integration Architecture project. The programme, for Open Systems Interconnection and a structure for database communications among different business computers, will involve participants developing software to agreed telecommunications protocols and the work will be based at Nippon Telegraph’s Data and Communications Processing Research Centre in Yokosuka, Kanagawa prefecture. Applications must be in by February 25.
