NOW PLESSEY SELLS 16 ISDXs TO CHINA RAILWAYS

By CBR Staff Writer

Plessey Co Plc has now received the approval it was seeking from the Chinese authorities for sale of the ISDX PABX there and the Ministry of Railways of China is to install a network of 16 ISDXs following its order for one in August. The new contract is worth UKP500,000, and follows the one from China Railways for 26 System X local exchanges and remote concentrators – 24,000 lines in all. That contract – the first to be won by System X in the Far East, was worth UKP6m (CI No 787).
