NOW HITACHI SUES MOTOROLA

Hitachi Ltd is hitting back at Motorola Inc by filing a countersuit against the Schaumberg, Illinois company’s patent infringement suit alleging that Hitachi’s H8 microcontroller infringes 6800 and 68000 microprocessor patents (CI No 1,098). The Japanese firm alleges patent infringement by Motorola’s 68HC11 microcontroller and seeks an injunction to stop the infringement and damages for past infringements.
