Citizen Watch Co Ltd’s agreement to build notebook computers for Compaq Computer Corp has run its course, but the Japanese company has won a big new OEM customer in the shape of Digital Equipment Corp, which will start taking product from the end of the year, Citizen said. The volumes and terms were not disclosed. Citizen still supplies notebook parts and subassemblies to Compaq.
