NovoTel Bangladesh has selected Total Service Mediation and InterconnecT billing and settlement services from Intec Telecom Systems, a supplier of business and operations support systems, to help underpin its market expansion and enhance profitability.
NovoTel plans to establish itself as a model IGW operator and help in the gradual increase of the overall market size through scalability as part of its cost-saving business strategy.
Total Service Mediation is the platform of choice for NovoTel as part of its strategy to improve its IT infrastructure. The adoption of an advanced convergent mediation service will enable the carrier to consolidate its legacy systems and benefit from a lower total cost of ownership, while gaining business advantage through the ability to support the release of new services, according to Intec.
Intec added that InterconnecT addresses the needs of an operator dealing with both traditional and next-generation products and services in a single system, with proven ability to handle the highest levels of national carrier traffic. The service also supports inter-partner settlement for IP-based services over next-generation networks. This includes multi-party settlement with a variety of third party service providers, for services such as VoIP, content downloads and multimedia messaging.
Faiz Khan, CEO of NovoTel Bangladesh, said: We selected Intec’s InterconnecT and Total Service Mediation because of its reputation as the clear market leader for both solutions, its state-of-the-art convergent architecture and proven track record in delivering technology that will give us critical commercial edge.
