US reports say that Novell Inc’s Unix Systems Group has been talking to a number of PABX manufacturers about running UnixWare on their systems, which means that PABXs could, in future, be used as telephony servers in a NetWare local area network environment. This would make it easier to deploy computer-integrated telephony applications and simplify the management of such tasks as charging back of phone calls to specific departments.
