We’re still waiting for Novell Inc to reveal exactly what it’s going to use Poet Software Corp’s object relational database technology for (CI No 3,206), but in the meantime, Poet anticipates that Novell will accelerate the marketing efforts on the Poet for Intranetware products. And Poet itself is to concentrate on Windows NT, relegating OS/2, Macintosh, AIX, Irix and Unixware operating systems to OEM status, meaning it won’t support them unless requested by a major customer. Ports to HP/UX and Solaris Unix systems will continue.
