The Waltham, Massachusetts-based company has been on the look out for a new Asia Pac president since Bill Hewitt stepped down in June, and has now appointed its third executive in that position since March.

Former IBM Asia Pac executive, Maarten Koster, has taken on the role with Rhonda O’Donnel, who preceded Hewitt and took over on an interim basis following his resignation, returning to her role as Novell’s Asia Pac chairperson.

The handover is the Americas region is somewhat smoother, with Troy Richardson assuming responsibility for Novell’s sales and consulting in the US, Latin America and Canada. Richardson also has a background at IBM, and NCR Corp’s retail solutions division and was previously VP and general manager for Novell Americas Northeast Area.

He takes over from Susan Heystee, who has become Novell’s first vice president and general manager for global strategic alliances. Novell’s president of EMEA, Tom Francese, was recently given the additional responsibility of executive vice president of worldwide sales.
