Novell Inc is not worried about finding a successor to 68-year-old founder and chairman Ray Noorda, chief financial office James Tolonen told the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts: Tolonen described Noorda’s role as one involving strategy and planning rather than day-to-day operations, adding We have a very strong group of executives – we have looked at various times at succession, although no-one has been designated to succeed; at the same meeting, he said that Novell expects its fourth quarter international revenues to be about even with the third quarter, adding Europe continues to look spotty.
