Novell Inc has launched a worldwide training programme designed to provide higher education establishments with access to Novell training. Partners in the Novell Education Academic Partner programme will be authorised to offer training to NetWare and UnixWare users. The Provo, Utah-based company has designated Novell House in Bracknell, Berkshire as its European education headquarters, and has appointed Norman Buckberry, formerly director of technical services, as European education director. It has also co-developed an Master of Science course with the Sheffield Hallam University; this is designed to help people entering higher education either with a first degree or from industry to build on their Enterprise Certified NetWare Engineer experience. The announcements coincided with the opening of the new Novell House, which is henceforward to be the company’s UK headquarters.
