Provo, Utah-based Novell Inc has introduced a new version of NetWare FTAM File Transfer, Access and Management, v1.2, based on a set of NetWare Loadable Modules for NetWare 3.11. The new version enables MS-DOS micros to communicate bidirectionally with Open Systems Interconnection hosts. Novell says that the new release has undergone conformance testing for US Government OSI Profile 1.0 compliance, and enables OSI system users to share files with all micros on a NetWare network, including Macintosh, MS-DOS, OS/2 and Unix, through the NetWare 3.11 universal file system. NetWare FTAM v1.2 will be avalable in December from Novell authorised resellers, at $5,000.
