It appears that Ray Noorda, the founder of Novell Inc and still the largest shareholder in the company with a 7% stake, is not commenting on the current round of rumors that IBM Corp is seeking to acquire his old company, but Bloomberg News managed to get a quote from Ralph Yarro, general manager of Noorda Trust Ventures: I don’t believe the rumors I’m hearing, he said. We’re not hearing anything from the people who are in the know. We’re pretty confident it’s just a rumor. Noorda Ventures has investments in 22 companies with Novell-related businesses.
