Novell Corp has announced partnership agreements with eight software vendors, to develop applications for its IntranetWare for Small Business operating system, once known as Kayak, which was launched back in January (CI No 3,085). The partnerships will deliver software applications for accounting, telephony, back up and disaster recovery as well as network routers and hubs. Novell has signed up with 3Com Corp for routers and hubs, Computer Associates International Inc’s Cheyenne Software Inc subsidiary and Stac Inc for the disaster recovery applications. The accounting applications will be delivered in conjunction with Great Plains Software Inc, SBT Accounting Systems Inc, Exact Software NV and Sagesoft Ltd, while the telephony applications will come from Netphone Inc. No time-scales were given for product availability
