Novell Inc and AT&T Co announced yesterday that they are working with 24 developers of telephony products to bring computer-telephone integration to desktop computers in the NetWare environment. They said their Novell-AT&T Early Implementers Programme has broad industry support for their standard for linking NetWare networks and telephones in a single seamless system. They say that by the first quarter next year customers will be able to choose a wide variety of telephony products, from basic auto-dial programs to call-centre applications. Developers in the Programme are doing applications that provide access to and control phones from any computer on a network, with graphic auto-dial programs, mixed media mailboxes and video multimedia conferencing.
