The Boulder, Colorado-based former builder of dedicated word processors NBI Inc used to tell people that NBI stood for nothing – it’s Nothing But Initials, they’d say – and judging by the latest figure, with the once $60m-a-year plus company reporting turnover plunging 71% to $1.1m (figures, page seven), the old joke only looks prophetic.
