NOT QUITE THE SAME RING AS XEROX

Not a bad name, Xerox – two strong, snappy syllables, unlikely to be mistaken for anything else – so now Xerox Corp is apparently about to spend a small fortune changing it, and according to the New York Times has settled on the incredibly clunky the Document Company – Xerox: the paper says Xerox started a print ad campaign yesterday, to be followed by $5m to $7m in television and radio advertisements; the company’s official incorporated name continues to be Xerox Corp.
