NORWICH CITY COUNCIL PICKS CASE FOR X25 NET INSTALLATION

By CBR Staff Writer

Norwich City Council has voted in favour of Watford-based Case Communications to install a city-wide X25 network: the Council runs a mixture of IBM, ICL and McDonnell-Douglas machines and the new network will attach 200 mixed-vendor terminals; the company also claims that sales are strong in the Far East where it has clinched deals through its Hong Kong subsidiary – namely a $300,000 order from Sarawak Shell Bhd in Malaysia and a $150,000 contract to expand Jardine Fleming Ltd’s four-continent net.
