Northrop will retain the Amsec business name and its ship, logistics, and technical services business. SAIC will get the aviation, combat systems, and strike force integration divisions.
Amsec reported about $500m in revenue for its last fiscal year ended January 2007. The spilt of the joint venture isn’t expected to have a material impact on Northrop. SAIC, which is a majority owner of Amsec, said that the transaction will remove about $200m from its financial results in fiscal 2008.
