Defense contractor Northrop Grumman has won a seven-year $56m contract with the US Department of the Interior to maintain and support IT infrastructure at the Bureau of Land Management’s 200 offices where more than 12,500 people are employed across the US.
The company will lead a team of subcontractors including Isys Technologies, NuAxis, Mindbank Technical, Applied Future Technologies, and Managed Business Solutions.
Neal Regan, program manager for the contract at Northrop Grumman Technical Services, said: This demonstrates Northrop Grumman’s growing capability and experience in the IT infrastructure market. By providing our customers with comprehensive quality control and phase-in plans, we are able to give them low-risk capabilities along with cost-effective performance.
The contract follows other US government agency contracts the company has won recently including a three-year $71.2m contract from the US Army to provide software engineering support for mission-critical defense systems. It also won a $68m contract from the US Coast Guard to design, integrate, install and test its Nationwide Automatic Identification System core data exchange capability. Last month, the company won a five-year $90m contract from the US Army to provide logistical support to Fort Polk, Louisiana, and the army’s Joint Readiness Training Center.
