NORTHERN TELECOM’s MAGELLAN TO BE USED IN OCRINET

Northern Telecom Ltd says its Magellan Gateway switch will be used in an Asynchronous Transfer Mode fibre optic telecommunications network for the Ottawa-Carleton region, which will be Canada’s first metropolitan Asynchronous transfer broadband network dedicated to research and development; called OCRInet, it is an initiative of the Ottawa Carleton Research Institute.
