NORTHERN TELECOM WIN ORDER TO SUPPLY TO CELUMOVIL

Northern Telecom Ltd has won a two-year $40m deal to supply digital cellular network equipment to Celumovil of Colombia, a consortium including the Santo Domingo Group, McCaw Cellular Communications Inc, LCC and Chase Manhattan Bank; the digital cellular technology will be installed in the private B-Band of Colombia’s eastern and Atlantic coast regions and will enable Celumovil to offer Time Division Multiple Access digital service.
