Northern Telecom Ltd has firmed up its plans to manufacture the SL/1 PABX in France by forming a joint venture company in which it will invest $50m for a majority stake, its partners being Banque Worms and venture capitalist Compagnie Generale d’Industrie et de Participations: the proposed company is expected to employ about 300 people.
