Northern Telecom has contracts worth up to $400m over three years with the New York Telephone and New England Telephone units of Nynex Corp to supply digital telephone exchanges and ancillary hardware and software: the new agreement replaces an incomplete $300m 30-month contract that was signed in 1985.
